I tried more than 10 times. I followed directions but pix aren't shown in computer. They are in the camera though I lost 2 of them already. I was able to do the transfer in the past with no problem, and with, and without ViewNX 2.

I opened the PC, plugued in the reader in the USB slot.
I plugued in my memory card on the reader.
I don't see in the task manager the icon for the "Safe remove..." (Bad sign!)
Still I continue and look for the pix...but they aren't in the computer.

Then I try another way: I downloaded ViewNX 2 and followed the directions. Didn't help either.

Please help? Thanks so much for prompt answer. :)

Do you have another memory card to try in the reader?, even if it's just a blank one is should still open in Windows Explorer.
If another card doesn't work either, I'd be tempted to say that the reader is faulty so try another reader.

Thank you Phillip, I'm sorry I didn't see your message until now. I finally was able to transfer the pix into my computer using ViewNX 2, but the new problem now is that I get lost in trying to SAVE these pictures into my computer so that I can forward them as attachments to my friends at a website. May I show you what I did so far and still trying (It's the last message):

Thanks again.

I'm posting here too as I don't know whether you'd be getting this answer:

Hello Ken Rivers and Phillip Corcoran (Phillip, I couldn't find the thread). I came to say I finally was able to see the pix in my Picture Library (don't know what I did that they went to the right place) lol! and of course I have been able to send them as attachment to my friends. I hope I'll be able to do this again on my own.

Thanks ever so much for all your help and patience!!! :)  Adela
