i am using a dell laptop, i was using a modem connected via an ethernet cable. i bought a new wireless router and tried to connect using it but to no avail. when troubleshooting i get a message: the connection between your access point, router, or modem and the internet is broken. i tried to connect back to the old modem and now get an error 651. i have tried resetting the modem and router, a clean boot, restoring my computer to an earlier date and renewing my ip address but none have worked, can anyone help me with this please?
