I finally want to step into the world of PC gaming. I've always loved playing Stategy games and RPGs on a PC, but I have never built a gaming computer before and my current off the shelf desktop can't play anything better than Medieval 2 Total War. Yes, it is that terrible. I would like to build a system that can run all the current game on high detail settings, at 1920X1080 on a single monitor. I also want it to be able to be upgraded over the years. Here is a build I put together and want to know what you experienced builders think of it? Keep in mind I have never built a PC before so I need all the advice I can get. I am looking to spend no more than $1500 on the system and if I can build it for cheaper and meet the same goals all the better. Thanks.

Here is what I am thinking of currently.

its ok to do it later if you want thats the nice part of building one yourself is that you can upgrade it when you want. so if you want to delve into overclocking just look around toms for tons of tutorials and cooler reccomendations.

this build would do you great especially at 1080p. are you planning on overclocking the cpu? and are you going to render videos or do heavy programming as 16gb of ram if a ton as most games wont use more than 4 or 5

Also to answer your question about overclocking, I don't plan on doing it initially. I figure maybe in 6-9 months if I want to then I will have to order an aftermarket CPU fan to do that. Thank you so much for the help guys.

I really appreciate all the help and advice. I pretty much used Tom's to pick out all the parts. The detailed reviews on this site are incredible. here is the final build.
