I just purchased the 840 EVO SSD and the motherboard I am currently using is a Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 rev 1.1 and it seems that the IOPS random read are really low. I optimized and tweaked everything and all my sata ports are 3.0. AHCI is turned on via windows and bios and all my options in magician shows everything is GREAT and passes! I even switched all the sata ports. The numbers are all high but when it comes to IOPS random reading the numbers are 36000 - 40000. It doesn't go more than that. I am stumped on this one. Again I optimized windows settings and within magician. Trim is on too. Please help I have been at this for 4 days now. Thanks dearly.

Solution
I think the issue may have been solved. FOLKS if you are using an AMD based motherboard please be sure to update these drivers! I can't believe this sneaked past me lol.

AMD Chipset Drivers

I did this and to be honest I cannot complain anymore check this out!

I won't say this is the solution but is it possible to inch that bar just a bit more? I would say this is as close as it will get to commercial speeds. Can anyone elaborate on this? S*** I'm so happy the number jumped! :D
