I'm getting ether i5-4670k or the i7-4770k, and I was just wondering if you NEED to overclock them to get good FPS and stuff on games such as BF4 and DayZ. Please help because I don't know HOW to overclock and the place I am buying it off doesn't SAY if they overclock it for you.

get the 4670 and you won't need to worry about overclocking.
Or, read this:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1711682/tips-overclocking-4670k.html
The issue is, you don't NEED to overclock a 4670k, but the k version CAN be overclocked, so you could potentially get more processing speed from it-same goes for 4770k
The non-k versions have a locked frequency multiplier, so no overclocking for those.

SO, if I got the i7-4770 NON K, would that run the same as the i5-4670K if I overclocked it?

No, it would run the same as the 4670k if you don't overclock it.
The only difference between the two is that you CAN overclock the k version, in ordert to get better performance.
But overclocking usually is a hassle and I don't advise you try it without reading up on it.
In any case, either cpu will run pretty much any game at max settings, provided you have a good enough video card.

Is the AMD R9 280X a good video card? (Sorry, I'm new to all this)
