i have a budget of £900, so far:
fractal design define r4 (no window)
i5 4440
msi z87-g43
4 fractal deisgn silent series fans
1 ssd samsung evo
1 tb seagate hard drive
corsair builder cx 600 watt modular psu 80 plus bronze
amd radeon hd 7950
16gb corsair memory
cooler master hyper evo

dont want to do any overclocking

is this a good enough set up for gaming, e.g. bf4, ac3/4

no need for ultra graphics

If you don't want to overclock your CPU its cheaper. Your 7950 does most of the work. The i5 shouldn't hold it back (bottleneck).

so this would be fine to comfortably play games like bf4?

The i5 4440 is a good CPU for BF4...It is kind of hard to pick parts for future titles right now but Your Build could play BF4 without a hitch. If you do not plan on overclocking or updrading to a K sereis as well as using some features on that Motherboard you could get a cheaper MB and still get the same performance. Z8Z chipset is an performance/overclocking platform. You can get a decent priced nice gaming PC around that CPU and a H87 or B85 or H81 chipset MB.
Sorry to get into the Motherboards but I meant if you can shave off a few bucks then you could get a slightly better and newer Graphics Card

Yes... Remember that games also use GPU more than CPU (although BF4 does use quite a bit of CPU).
