My 13year old son wants to build a desktop pc that can run games like Day Z & battlefiled 4 without breaking the break (if that's possile). He is looking for advice on what motherboard, processoe and video card he should get.

Thanks

I also doubt he would get a bootleged copy of Windows. Always good to get a genuine copy

Why are you suggesting a 3770k? Thats a last generation CPU where as yes it is fast and still good... it's also a bit expensive and overkill for a 13 year olds gaming build.

4670 non k is perfect. he shouldn't be overlocking anyway.

The only reason why I did that was that it was a pretty good deal for the price. I also wanted to focus more into the GPU than the CPU really, and get a good psu.

For gaming you will not notice any difference between the i5-4670 and the i5-4430, and it's quite a bit cheaper. If you need to buy a monitor also, get a R9 270x graphics card instead of the GTX 770. Enjoy!

I just put this together fast and thought the i7 would be fine and that was the cheapest.

I would honestly go with the one with the 770 or the 760 and the i5 because the 660 was kinda under kill but the i7 was overkill and the i5 build should get the max settings

Honestly (no offense) better than any of the other builds here.

I am saying just ask one each one of them the component which they think is best and make a build. Most are saying that i7 would be over kill for 13 year old kid and are saying i5 would be best and most of them agree with GTX 750 Ti. That's it and just tell a motherboard and ram guys simple. The OS can be found anywhere and the DVD rom doesn't matter that much. As far as HDD just buy a one with 1 TB space and 5200rpm simple.
