I'm getting really annoyed right now, I've done this Driver Sweeper 3 times already to fully remove my AMD 6800 card because I'm getting a new Graphics card today and I want ZERO trace of this old driver AND it does do it's job and removes it. But every time I restart the computer to check it out... this "Driver Software Installation" automatically installs it all over again. It's not even the latest update either, it's a 2011 driver too, and It's not Windows Update I have that completely shut off so what in the world is going on here? Is this how I have to install my new card when I install it on my PC? Let it auto install an old driver and then override it with the latest? ISN'T THAT A BAD THING?

Please help me before I go insane

Well, that's the problem right there. Until you physically remove the old card, Windows will automatically "detect new hardware" & install the driver for it whenever you boot up. That's the whole purpose of Plug-N-Play: instead of having to manually tell the OS that you installed hardware & where the driver files are, the OS does the hard work for you.

So...wait until you've brought the new card back home, then uninstall the old AMD drivers, shut the PC down, install the new card, & then power back on.

I can do that. But wouldn't it do the same thing with the new Video Card? Install an out dated driver? I want to be able to install the new Video Card and install the latest driver without it automatically installing an old driver for me. Because then i have to uninstall it (Because the one it installs isn't the latest) and then restart my PC after its uninstalled and again it "might" do that. A never ending cycle, this is what I'm trying to prevent.
