I am looking for a case which hopefully has a window and costs around £40. I am currently looking at the zalman z5 plus and the z9 plus and the Thermaltake Commander MS/I Snow Edition (White). It should be a mid tower case which can fit a micro ATX/standard ATX and have enough room at the back for the 20pin motherboard cable. Anyone have any ideas?

I have the Z9+ and I love the case honestly. You get a lot of good features for a case of it's price. The only thing it's lacking is USB 3.0 ports. If that is important for you to have, look at the Zalman z9+ U3 model. Most new motherboards have USB 3.0 ports on them anyway so it's not really needed in my opinion.

PS: By default the power conector for the power button itself is not hooked up when you get the case. You have to take off the front panel and connect the two wires you see in there. A lot of people have complained about getting no power once everything was installed, only to find this out later on after hours of trouble shooting. Keep it in mind.

who are your preferred places of purchase? could also possibly look into bitfenix (shinobi, ronin come to mind), corsair and even some coolermaster (they offer refurb in the US, not sure about europe- never had any visible problems with ordering these for budgets). looking through some now. check out the thermaltake chaser

I will probably buy the z9 plus because it looks like it hasa built in temp reader or whatever and alot of extra stuff. I might need to find a piece of metal/plastic or something to go over one of the side panel fan mounts because it dosent have a dust filter which is a problem as i live next to a main road which creates alot of dust.

There is an easy fix for the dust protectors that is a better option. Just get some fine mesh and cut it out. Once you screw the fans back in, use them to hold the mesh in place by screwing through the mesh. Oh and the Z9+ U3 has no fans on the side and a solid window, so that could still be a good option. I'm not sure how cooling would be affected though....
