Acer Aspire xc 605

i have purchased an acer aspire xc 605, its core i3 4130, with 6gb ram, but im not sure what graphics card to buy as the system is 1/3 the size of a normal desktop pc.. any ideas?

What is your power supply? And budget? If you can afford it, go for the GTX 750/750Ti as they can run on low end power supplies and they're also very small, making them fit for small cases.

He could actually get a pretty massive improvement moving from integrated graphics to a discrete GPU.

Also, I just noticed the official Acer page says you have 4GB of memory.

Well it seems you have to upgrade the PSU to get a better GPU. How big is your budget for both the PSU and the GPU?

Yeah there seems to be mutliple vesions of the xc 605

Actually, I'll need you to measure how big your PSU is. This is because I don't want to suggest something that won't fit your case.

Well my conclusion is: Get the Nvidia GTX 750, it might run on the stock power supply. If it doesn't, post me the dimensions of the PSU and I'll suggest you a new one.

Well my conclusion is: Get the Nvidia GTX 750, it might run on the stock power supply. If it doesn't, post me the dimensions of the PSU and I'll suggest you a new one.


my main aim is to stream xbox gameplay and Emulated games ( SNES,sega megadrive etc :)  does this help in anyway? as i thought if i do decide to use computer for gaming i can always transfer the motherboard etc to a new case and purchase a new PSU :)

Have you gotten the PC? What about the graphics card update? I´m interrested in this PC too, so it would be nice to know if it can run SC2. :D
