I'm wondering how these two cards will perform compared to each other.

Both should be the exact same Maxwell chip, and according to GPUBoss, they are clocked identically, apart from a small advantage to memory speed on the 750Ti: http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-860M-vs-GeForce-GTX-750-Ti

Yet, for some reason, GPUboss thinks that the 750Ti has a big lead in performance. Why?

How do you think these two cards rate compared to each other?

860M is for notebook while 750 Ti is regular dekstop gpu. wil 750 Ti have big performance lead? idk about that but at the very least 750Ti does not have restriction unlike 860M in term of power consumption which means 860M could have reduce performance to compensate with mobile design.

I know that the 860M is for mobile, and the 750Ti is for desktop, it just seems like there isn't any clock difference and also the memory bus for both cards is 128 bits.. so I don't see what would hold back the 860M?

So it's 64GB/s vs 86GB/s for the bandwidth.. damn, I thought the 860M would be a 750Ti in a laptop!

I don't get why it should be dialed down, normally what keeps laptop graphics down is the heat, but the 860M should produce the same heat as the 750Ti, since it has the same number of cores running at the same speed. I don't get why they would consciously nerf it..
