i am new to this page, so please excuse me if i am posting this question in the wrong place :p

but i will go straight to it.

i have just ordererd a 290x lightning card, and am looking forward to it. BUT as i begin to inspect it closer, i have noticed that the card has 2 X 8pin connectors and 1 x 6 pin..

my psu is a cooler master silent hybrid 1300 watt PSU, and it is here where my question comes in.

will there be any problems with any of the cables ? seen some pictures of the 8 pin connectors, and they look.. somehow strange :p there are 8 pins in one end, and some strange contact in the other.. and it is not molex..

so if anybody has a OK aswear for me, i would be grateful. also, sorry for my bad formulation.
i hope you guys understand my question.

also if you wonder what my specs are, they are as following :

intel core i7 quad 3.4 GHZ socket LGA 1155 2600k
ASUS formula V motherboard
cooler master silent pro hybrid 1300 watt psu
16 gb corsair wengence ram .. 1600 MHZ
1 X samsung 256 gg SSD
1x 1 tb western caviar 7200 rpm
1x 2tb western digital 7200 (green )
XfX radeon 7870 HD

NP mate.
As for your query on connectors , the weird ones will go into the PSU , and other end into GPU. They look sort of the same , but are different and a PSU connector can't get in a GPU one and vice versa.
The 8pin GPU power connectors are just like 6pins except theirs 2 more of em. Also most of them are 6+2 for compatibility.
