Hello

Today i got my ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0, Socket-AM3+, also getting the Noctua NH-U14S as a CPU cooler, but its big so i might have to put my GPU card in the second PCI-ex slot, will this effect my performance in any way? i remember a few years ago i put my gpu in the second slot and i lost some performance.

Hello man

The issue you ran into was a decreased amount of lanes on the second slot. However, the first 2 slots on that board are X16, so you are fine.
