I'm currently looking into building a gaming pc, and need some help in picking a cpu and motherboard combo. I've got the rest of the parts for the pc all ready to go(excluding case). Yes it will, and will be much better for normal computing like web browsing, etc.
But if you can get the 8320 for a lot cheaper, and a decent motherboard, you won't have too much less performance in gaming. Just be sure to get AT LEAST a 970 series board; you want sufficient power delivery.
