using photorec on hdd doesn't start at start

When using this program it doesn't start of at say 00000 but more like 3*****, what does this mean? The first part is the mbr or a bad sector?

Please move if in wrong section.

Cheers guys, yeah i totally messed with it. I just wanted to pull data as i had no change getting anything back to normal. Took into a shop in the end, still going through raw data files, nightmare, i have def learned to back up twice!!
