Hey I need a new gaming laptop. I need portability and hence need a laptop. I know if I put that much money into a gaming rig, I would get better performance. But go to friends house for LAN parties and need a laptop. My budget is 650$ and I cannot go any further. I will not be buying this but my parents will( I'm 16).

I will not be buying this laptop in the US but in a Middle Eastern country called Oman. Laptops like Sagaer, MSI and other laptops which aren't that worldwide aren't available here, so,please don't recommend them. Also I'm not a big fan of Toshiba, so don't recommend them either. Companies like Acer, Asus, Lenovo, and other worldwide companies will help.

I want to be able to play the following games at Low-Medium settings.
1. Battlefield 4
2. CoD:Ghosts
3. ArmA II/ArmA III
4. Planetside 2
5. Dota 2

Thanks a lot guys, in advance

@OP As your concern is about LAN parties and portability of the game system. Problem is, laptops are 2x desktop costs to prevent 1) eating the battery in 30 min 2) overheat and catch fire 3) fitting inside the laptop small design 4) not weigh 12-15Lbs. So the COST for a gaming laptop that HAS the hardware (not even considering how well it plays) INSIDE starts @ $1200 on the normal marketspace BY the very places you said you can't buy from, but you can try Asus and Lenovo, Acer doesn't make 'gaming PCs'.

That said, the alternative would need to shift your thinking. You would need to instead build a LAN PARTY PC, which you said you already have a desktop, so let's consider a different route to solve things. You can Google LAN PARTY PC...

That said, the alternative would need to shift your thinking. You would need to instead build a LAN PARTY PC, which you said you already have a desktop, so let's consider a different route to solve things. You can Google LAN PARTY PC Builds and see what others have done, but basically you get a Mini-ITX or SFF (Small Form Factor) system, which is a desktop build, and you add the desktop parts to it EXCEPT you have to make sure a gamer's card would 'fit' inside the case you pick.

This would let you take the current desktop, apply only a bit more cost (thus being under $650) and refitting it into the case / mobo / etc. that would be 'portable'. You can check PCPartsPicker.com and look at the Mini-TX or SFF cases to see what I mean, and you can see they are made for portability.
