Hi I just bought this Asus GTX 770 Nvidia GeForce DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card (PCI Express 3.0, HDMI, DVI-I, DVI-D, Display Port, 256 Bit, 3D Vision Ready, GPU B. After putting it into my PC and turning it on I got 5 beeps then a slight pause then 5 beeps then slight pause. When I opened it up to look at it, the indicators show up as green where I inserted the cables into and if I take one out its red. So I think I have done the correct thing putting it in. I'm not sure what the problem is.

Here is the pc I have, http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay?javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.prp_ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03030800-19%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.tpst=ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01&sp4ts.oid=5151854&ac.admitted=1397668871448.876444892.492883150

Thanks for the reply,

No it doesn't boot, I can't see anything on the monitor, all that happens is I press power button, it then flashes amber instead of constant blue. It begins to beep I think 5 times, it beeps 5 times about 3 or 4 times.

At times like this I'm glad I'm so stupid because I wouldn't feel so happy right now. The graphics card was a bit on the big size which made it hit one of the ram slots causing the end to prize open. Ty for all your help .

However the problems don't end there. Now that it boots it stays on the boot screen and says press esc key for startup menu, I press esc and nothing happens
