I thought it was about time to upgrade my rig. I've had my current one for 7 Years and it still runs fine but there is no way in hell it can play any current games. I've put some research into what I want in my new rig and have come up with a list of parts I think would fit my needs. As of now I want to go with a budget of roughly $2000.

Parts:
Case: Corsair 350D
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-PLUS LGA 1150 Intel Z87
Processor: Intel Core Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150
PSU: CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W
Video Card: EVGA GTX 780 Superclocked 3GB with ACX Cooler
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
OS: Genuine MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Edition
HD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE250BW 2.5" 250GB SATA 6Gb/s

Still Missing: CPU Cooler - Any Recommendations?

What are your thoughts on this rig? Is it ok? or does something need to be changed? I want to be able to play everything on Ultra and I think it should be able to do that, but any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

yes, 212 evo is great, and for the cpu, i would get the xeon E3-1230 v3, it is almost identical to the i7 4770, but without the onboard graphics and it cant overclock as good, but it would save a bit of money. depends on if you want to OC or not.

Yeah, haven't put tooo much thought into OC'ing yet but want the option in case I decide too down the road. Is it worth investing in a Corsair Hydro Series CPU cooler or should I just go with the Evo 212?
