Right.
So the other day I was plugging my iPod charger into my 360. The way i was holding it meant i was touching the metal at the end of the charger (it was plugged in to my 360 at this point, with my 360 powered on) and when I touched my PC case I could feel a constant weird tingling feeling from the charger.

My PC is plugged directly into the main plug socket in my bedroom. The switch next to the outlets as turned off (I live in England, all plug sockets have this), and the switch on the PSU was switched off too.

I also plugged my iPod charger into my TV to see if it was just my Xbox causing it, and I got the same feeling.

My PC is completely unplugged now as I'm worried about this.

What could be causing this?

Hi

https://www.google.co.uk/#q=13+amp+socket+tester

shows a number of socket testers designed for UK market
Martindale is a well known company in safety & testing equipment

There is a fault in the house wiring possibly the earth connection
(either on one ring main circuit or the main earth connection)

Test with one of these testers then contact a qualified electrician
(preferably a member of NICEIC http://www.niceic.com/)

Sorry for the delay in replying

Literally one wire (with yellow & green stripe insulation) is connected to the earth (ground) under the building
either a copper bar or the metal protective armour of the main power cable coming into the building

Each socket has a live (brown) neutral (blue) + earth (ground wire) the earth wire goes back to one location for the building.
Copper piping (water & gas) is also connected to the ground .

Without it being continuous (no breaks) some faults can cause metalwork on electric items or metal pipes to become live .

You need to get a qualified electrician to check out the wiring in you house
It is not something you should ignore
A mild tingle to you may kill a pet dog or cat
Or if you get current flowing from one hand to the other through your heart it can be fatal

I don't understand though. Everything in my house is fine as far as I'm aware. I've never experienced this with anything in my house before.
Wouldn't this affect everything else though?

Couldn't it just be because the power from the charger is using the case to go to ground?

I don't understand this electricity babble. Sorry about that.

All of the plugs in my bedroom have 3 metal prongs on them. Isn't the top one the earth prong?
