my wife's pc had a geforce 8800 gts, It suddenly stopped displaying so I took the card out and tried it in My PC. The card did the same thing (no signal check cable connection). I figured the card was fried so I bought another 8800 gts (Second hand but pulled from a working PC). The exact same thing happened (no signal check cable connection) I tried it in my PC and got the same display error. The PC boots up as normal as you can hear it loading windows etc. What could be the problem please ?

if you tried on both pc's and didnt work most likely to be a monitor issue. are you sure the Monitor cables are tightly connected from the monitor to the graphics card? have you tried another monitor? have you tried getting a new vga cable?.
