Both of these CPUs clock in at 3.8ghz and both are quad core. The 5800K has the APU which the 760 does not. I know the 760 is newer, but are there any other benefits. I am going to get a graphics card and will no longer need the APU, also building a PC for the lady, my plan is to buy the 260 and put it in my build and give my girl the 5800K. WIll i get any benefits with the 260 CPU?

There are no benefits going with the 760k. CPU wise, they are the same. How much you looking to spend? It might be better to get yourself a new system and just give her the 5800k system.
