I've pretty much narrowed my search down to these two monitors. On paper they look very similar to me, I was just wondering if any of you had experience with both, and which you would recommend? There is a slight price difference, but it's not a concern.

I am mainly buying these because I hate the idea of input lag. It first started bothering me back in the day when all of my friends and I played DDR(dancing game). I had a CRT TV and when I would go to their house and play on their LCDs it would drive me insane. Input lag is also extremely noticeable to me on the Nintendo WII. I also play shooters, and RPGS. I will likely pick up Battlefield 4 and Diablo 3 at the same time I buy the monitor. It will be primarily for PC games. I'd list my PC stats but I plan on having the monitor across several PCs, and I assume one of them will make use of the 120 or 140Hz modes.

The monitor I am currently using is a 720p Sharp Aquos HDTV(since my Synchmaster died). I bought it for console gaming because this particular model did really well in input lag test.

So yeah
Low input lag.
Low blurring.
If either of them have better color that would be good to know too, but it's secondary.

Thank you for your time!

I have the ASUS, and I would definitely recommend it. Excellent for gaming, you won't have any complaints.

As far as the color goes, BenQ is generally considered to have better colors on the 144hz monitors, but this is also a cheaper BenQ model so I'm not sure if that applies. The BenQ XL2420Z is the one that is considered to have better color than the VG248QE, but it's also $100 more, so somewhat expected. The RL2460HT is much cheaper so it makes me question the color quality... why is it so much cheaper? Maybe a BenQ expert can chime in.

RL benq models arent 120-144hz capable. only XL series which cost more. asus has a great price at 144hz. the thing is that no console including next gen, run games above 60fps.for console gaming, i would stick with any 1080p fast tn panel 1-2ms. for pc gaming make sure your hardware can push above 60fps, else the only noticable difference wil be when moving windows along screen.

I suspected that would be the case, and I searched specifically for the refresh rates for that model, and the results came up with 144hz so I was stumped. I guess it's just misinformation. It was actually pretty difficult to find the refresh rate. I guess I shouldn't have trusted amazon... I've seen mistakes on their product pages before.

Yes the XL2420TE will have slightly better colors, but you also pay $100 more.

Thanks for the advice input. I am price-shopping now on the ASUS. I'll probably allow till tomorrow for a few more responses in case someone has gotten their hands on the BenQ. In the meantime if you see any good deals let me know! :)
