everytime i'm watching a video the connection is lost or it buffers forever. I'm running Windows 7

There are many reviews of this happening on newegg alone. I would suggest just exchanging it if you can and buying something with better reviews. If thats not possible then try using it in a USB2 port on the rear. This will eliminate possible front port wiring & noise issues as well as usb3 issues.
