Where can I get a generic AMD Radeon R9 270X?

Hi guys,

I have recently decided to upgrade my GPU. I've been looking around and have found a potential buy - the AMD Radeon R9 270X! However I can't seem to find the generic version that is shown, if searched in Google Images (see picture), avaliable to buy!

All I can find are the MSI and ASUS versions from various different websites! But I find the generic design is much more attractive and appealing :) I understand different versions won't affect performance but I do like this design far more!

I really appreciate any help if anyone can find one or if im just being stupid!

Actually, these cards are known as "reference cards" and they perform worse, run hotter and make more noise than the ones with "normal" fans for cooling (Asus, MSI etc),

Well I would go with MSI or ASUS with aftermarket coolers. Usually the companies put better coolers on the GPU that are A better performing and B more quiet. I know that it might look better if you were going to display it on a stand. But other than that, I think the aftermarket coolers are better.

I cannot seem to find one, and if you are putting it on display, the card will be facing downwards anyways, so you would still be looking at a PCB. A non-reference card would give you much better cooling, sometimes better power consumption, better overclocking most of the time, and have better performance. I would recommend a card like the MSI Radeon R9 270X Gaming 2G ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127761 ) or the Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127761 ) for higher resolutions. If you want to have a very good experience with gaming, get a non-reference card.

You should really just go for one of the aftermarket cooled cards. There's a reason why these cards aren't around anymore. Especially this cooler, since it's one of the loudest coolers.
It's just going to sit in your pc, so you should really get this cooler out of your head.

Aftermarket coolers also come at a higher stock clock, which makes them faster than the stock cards, they're also much more quiet, some brings custom PCB's with higher quality part on, and they're also running much cooler.
Would you really sacrifice all that to get another look at something sitting inside your case? :)

Both MSI and ASUS make some of the best aftermarket coolers, i would recommend ASUS since their cards seem to use quality components and runs very quiet & cool.
