Issue with Ps3 Need help with compatiblitly

Ok i have a ps3 CECH-2501B and i recently change the termal paste and broke the heatsink screw into the heatsink, so now am getting overheating problem from my research i think its because the heatsinks aren't connecting with the cpu/gpu properly. I went searching my friends for a ps3 for parts one of them got one but her model is 2005a am asking if i take her fan/heatsink out and put it in my game will it fit properly without no problems.... PLEASE REALLY GONNA APPRECIATE IT

p.s trying to avoid buying the fan from ebay because i live in bahamas and ebay doesn't have ebay prime and people take long to ship the items

Those models by the sounds of it are both the PS3 Slim, on the hardware side there are no differences. If you can compare the two heatsinks side by side then you will be able to tell if it will be compatible or not. From my experience of opening the PlayStation 3s is that it's usually the shape of the motherboard that is different between the models and other minor things, but the everything else is the same. But double check before doing it, just in case.
