Hello Forum.
So I've encountered this problem with my SAPPHIRE HD 7950 (unfortunately i do not recall under which circumstances), which continues to haunt me.
I get a tdr video driver crash and a following restore while playing graphically demanding games (like Bioshock Infinite or Battlefield 4). Furthermore, i also noticed an interesting thing: the crash occurs only when the temperature of the GPU is about 59-63 degrees Celsius. The crash can be avoided by adjusting the fan speed and thus keeping the temperature lower than the above-mentioned mark.

Things i tried to do:

  • Reinstalling graphical drivers (clean install with the AMD utility and Driver Sweeper)
  • Trying beta drivers
  • Underclocking
  • Increasing the voltage
  • Turning of Windows Aero
  • Reinstalling the OS
  • Changing values of tdr registry keys
  • Trying to switch to reserve bios (button on the video card)

  • I apologize if this problem has been resolved somewhere, but i did search all over the internet, including this forum and none of the proposed solutions seemed to work.
    System specs are:
    Intel Core i7-860
    8 GB RAM DDR3
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
    Corsair Vs 650 Watt PSU

If needed, i am ready to provide further information with the help of AIDA64, and any other information.

    Thank you for reading.

Looks like you may have failing Vram on the card that gets corrupt when Hot. Claim warranty if still available.

    Thank you for fast response.
    I will try.
Was hoping though that it was a software problem.

Looks like you done all steps to eliminate that and that it has to reach certain temp points to hardware issue.
