I just tried installing a new graphics card and when I turn it on, the computer beeps and the monitor can't find a connection. I have onboard graphics and I disabled the drivers. I have tried both HDMI and DVI connections and the monitor can't connect. The graphics card requires 400 watts and I just put a 600 watt psu. I took out the new graphics card and now every thing is ok. I checked the onboard drivers and it says that it is disabled. The weird thing is the wallpaper looks exactly as sharp as always. Do you think I should uninstall the drivers? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

never disable the onboard graphics...causes all sorts of problems if you end up having a problem with your gpu. your best bet is to re-update your integrated drivers after doing a driver sweep, then reinstall your gpu drivers, then set your computer to use the gpu over the onboard graphics.

also that beeping will be explained in your motherboard manual. It is a sound code and may represent some form of error

I purchased a EVGA Geforce GTX 650 and on the instructions it says to disable integrated graphics before installing the card. I have also read some people say to uninstall onboard driver. To be honest, I am really confused! I have also read that disabling Secure Boot and enabling Legacy will fix the problem. I have Windows 8.1. My monitor can't find the connection to the card so I get no screen. Unfortunately I don't have the motherboard manual and MSI doesn't have it on their website. I'm afraid to try these different things because I don't want anything bad happen to my pc.

I enabled the onboard graphics drivers and I am still getting the 6 beeps and the monitor won't connect. I don't know if I should try disabling Secure Boot and enabling Legacy like some people said. It helped a few people but not all.
