Asus Rampage IV Black Edition vs Asus Maximus VI Extreme

Good morning, just a simple question. I am thinking about doing a new build, and cannot decide between the Asus Rampage IV Black Edition or the Asus Maximus VI Extreme. I know the differences between each, and obviously they use different sockets, so we can assume that I would need to pick a different CPU based on my choice.

I would be using the PC for Gaming, preferably across 3 27" Monitors at 1920 x 1080, and want to use 3 GTX Titan Black Hydro Copper Signature GPUs in 3 Way SLI configuration, with 16GB of G.Skill Trident X RAM @ 2400mHz.

Any help would be great!

Thanks

  1. You say you know the differences between these boards. Are you sure you do? Because if you knew the differences you wouldn't be asking this question.

I am sure that I know the difference between these boards, please expand on what you mean when you say 'otherwise you would not be asking'. As far as I am aware, the last time I checked, both boards would be suitable for my applications. If we could discontinue this tangent and loop back the original question, that would be great, because I am, believe it or not, computer literate.
  3. The boards are for two completely different platforms. Obviously, whichever platform you intend to go with, that is what board you should go with.
