I have a JVC Adixxion sport camcorder. I have purchased 4- HDMI/ HDMI- mini cables, I have tried each cable to connect from camcorder to my flat screen TV HDMI input. port. With each cable, all I get is "No Signal" that appears on the TV screen. No audio or video.

My digital camera takes the same cable. Works great, on all 4 cables. I plug into my JVC Adixxion and i get "No Signal" on my TV screen. None of the cables work on the JVC.

Does the JVC require some "special" HDMI/HDMI-mini cable?

I think we can assume your cable is good , and the problem is something else

The JVC may have a set up option to enable the HDMI output?

Do you have the camera set to playback mode? A look at the manual indicated HDMI out is disabled during recording.

I have read the entire owners manual. It says" You can connect the camera to an HDTV via an HDMI cable, and easily playback the recorded high-definition videos on wide screen HDTV's." Nothing to enable.

I can see the playback on the camera screen. Just won't connect to the TV.

Regarding a special HDMI cable, I looked at the optional accessories on the JVC site and it doesn't list an HDMI cable. I have looked at the firmware update and it does not appear to address any issues regarding HDMI so I'm not sure it will help. It does address other issues though. I see the JVC site offers little help. Have you contacted JVC with this issue?

This sounds simple, but have you tried plugging in the HDMI while the camera is off, closing the on-camera LCD, starting the camera up, and then using the TV for playback? Also, another basic thing to check, are you on the correct input on your HDTV? Last simple thing, some cameras need to be plugged in to a power source for playback on a TV. The manual didn't say much about this topic so I am having to guess.

I also saw what I think is your post on CNET: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-7594_102-616593/hdmi-cable-...

Is there a USB plugged in at the same time as HDMI?

ALSO, maybe there is something on the YouTube channel for that camera?

JVC had me send the camcorder back to them for warranty repair. Thank for all your input.

Well, I sent in my camcorder into JVC. They sent back a brand new camcorder. Works like it should. Now that is customer service.
