I recently bought the ASRock FX990 Fatal1ty Killer motherboard with the AMD Vishera 3600 processor, and since then, my computer just randomly freezes in the middle of me doing stuff, and I have to restart it.. my little mATX MSI motherboard with my Phenom processor never did this, and those are more outdated than my newest purchases..

Why is this? I'm going to just trash this POS if I can't get help.

Thanks!

I assume the CPU is FX 6300, there is no 3600 Vishera. Btw what brand is your RAM?

Yes, sorry. I've got G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB 1333 (Dual Channel).

Problems with freezing can be caused by this things:
-Faulty RAM module. Try using only one 4GB of RAM, if it still freezes, try the other stick of 4GB RAM. If the freezing stops, replace the faulty RAM under warranty.
-Faulty PSU can freeze and restart the PC
-Check all drivers, chipset and BIOS updates for the motherboard
-Viruses can cause freezing, do a complete scan
