so i just got a new mobo today and the 8350 . normally i would think u get a frame increase but it would seem with the 8350 i feel i get around the same perfomrance as the a8 6500 . normally i would think a cpu that is aroud 200 dollars i would see an increase but in places on gw2 alot of them im hitting aroun 40 frames and i get drops to aroudn 20 i have a radeon 7850. and in league of legends i get aroudn 90 which is what i got with eh 6500. I know my stock fan sounds like a jet engine lolz. . So any help with this would be appreciated i got a asus m5a97 le r2.0 mobo

600w psu . any help on why my performance is not much greater would be appreciated

The single core performance of the 8350 is not that much better. Hence why in games that use a small number of threads (like GW2 and LoL) the performance is similar.

If single-core performance was a priority intel would have been the better option.

Anyway, check your temps with this: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html Leave it running in the background while you play a game and send a screenshot back here. It will show whether you have any PSU or temperature issues.

I'm afraid JOOK-D is right.
Several places in reviews it says that 8350 is not recommended for gaming.
I noticed it was even called a non-competitive CPU compared to Intel.
You should have done your homework before upgrading, I'm sorry.

i was going to get the 6350 but i was like lets plan a head a bit like my frames are hella more stable they might be aroudn the same fps but there more stable then they where and in some games i do have a big increase
also installing things and doing other task are increadably faster

6350 is 125W processor and not highly available . so try 6300 95W high turbo (3.5-4.1) 600mhz turbo.
