This is my first gaming PC build and i was wondering if i can get some feedback on the parts I've chosen. My budget is under around $1000 and all the parts i chose where from MSY.

CPU – Intel Core i5 4440 = $208
Motherboard – Gigabyte Z87-D3HP = $138
Case – Thermaltake VP200A1W2N A41 = $119
HDD – WD 3.5" Blue 1TB = $64
RAM – GSkill Ares 8GB Kit (4Gx2) DDR3 1600 = $94
CD Drive – Samsung SATA 22x Black DVD RW = $18
PSU – Antec Neo Eco 520C-BR 80Plus Bronze 520W PSU = $85
GPU – Sapphire SA-R9270X = $249

(Australian Prices)

TOTAL = $976 Australian Prices)

Is this any good and is it all compatible?

Solution
Hi,
Everything is compatible
I also made something else for $80 less

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($209.00 @ PCCaseGear)
Motherboard: ASRock B85M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($87.00 @ CPL Online)
Memory: GeIL EVO Veloce Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($89.00 @ PLE Computers)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.00 @ PCCaseGear)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 2GB Video Card ($249.00 @ CPL Online)
Case: Zalman Z5 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($75.00 @ Mwave Australia)...
You don't need a Z87 motherboard unless you are getting a "K" edition processor, and on a budget build like that, it makes no sense to pay $120 for a case. Get something like the NZXT Tempest 210 for about $50, and spend the other money on a bit better CPU or GPU. You are also overpaying for RAM.
