Hi all
I am building a new PC and have selected all the parts. I have already bought
CPU: i7-4770k.
GPU: Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB
And other bits and bobs

I was just about to buy the Asus Z87 Pro Motherboard.
However, I currently have a Dell 30inch monitor running at 2560 x 1600 resolution and a Dual link DVI Cable. I see the graphics card is capable of this resolution but I notice from the ASUS website that the motherboard only supports 1920 x 1600 on DVI. Is this because of the motherboard limitations, or just due to a Single DVI capability?

Will my existing DVI-D cable work on this motherboard at this resolution?

Many thanks

PS: thanks for the multitude of posts on various things. Improved my knowledge tremendously!

Solution
That limitation only applies to the motherboard's DVI connector. You must plug the monitor's DVI connector to the graphics card. You'll be able to run that resolution with no issues.
