Graphics card for HTPC

I am assembling a HTPC with the following config,AMD FX-6300,Asus M5A97 R 2.0 Mobo,WD Caviar Green 3tb. Please suggest a VFM entry level graphics card for watching blu ray 1080p movies without lag.

If you are only watching movies, I recommend getting an APU from AMD. (They have more powerful integrated graphics than Intel chips but don't cost nearly as much so they're ideal for HTPCs.)

I still strongly recommend getting an APU as it would save you a lot of money over getting the FX-6300 and a discrete GPU.

If you want a graphics card that's powerful enough for GAMING, then go for the R7 240.
