System is a10-6800k asrock mobo 8gigs ram gs600 psu.

System overheats when playing eso then is shutsdown. I have 1 140mm and 1 120mm exhaust and 2 120mm intake on a source 210 elite.. so im sure its not airflow..now if I go into amd overdrive and underclock to 3.6ghz it stays pretty cool. Now in asrock bios there is a overheat protection that is turned on. So my question is if I turn that off will the cpu still shut down if it gets to hot? From what I can tell it shuts down at about 60 degrees c. O it has the stock cooler and heatsink I will upgrade this next but untill then trying to find a fix...thanks in advance

Although the stock cooler is crap (and you should replace it with something better), it should be able to keep it cool enough at stock clocks with good airflow (which it sounds like you have). You could try removing and reapplying thermal paste and reseating the cooler.

I wouldnt turn off the overheat protection, not worth the risk, AMDs thermal protection has never been great, although it may be better these days but i dont know.

60 degrees seems a bit early for such measures, the CPU should throttle back before it shuts off. It should only shutdown if it is REALLY hot like 100 degrees hot. When you say shutdown do you mean it just turns off?

AMD chips have lower thresholds remember...

From what I read max temp for this cpu is around 75 degrees Celsius. . Thats what im wondering if the mobo overheat protection is jumping the gun. Yes the pc just turns off and stays off. Think I will try to resit the heat sink bought the base system from ibuypower so maybe its just they suck at doing that..
