You say that, but the Hero is a considerable amount more than the alternatives. What exactly makes the Hero better than something like the Gigabyte GA-z87x-ud4h? Especially when the actual changes in fps will be negligible.
 
From the reviews you can see those MB benchmark scores, they don't have big difference. I don't know how many person can notice the different in real world usage. Just like rolli59 said "That is personal preference!" It depends on what you want to play with, benchmark? games? or play more $$.
