I want one for general gaming and my eyes aren't as good as they used to be. I've noticed with my 24" my eyes hurt and want to close after an hour or so (yes, I wear glasses also) so hoping an OKAY 27" will help the strain somewhat and hey, who doesn't like FPS's on a larger screen? ;) I know they're economy monitors and my budget us up to $250 so if you have any other suggestions up to or around that price, please chime in! :) Thanks!

Considering these two..

BenQ VA GW2750HM

and

AOC E2752VH

So I bought both and put them side by side...

The AOC E2752VH ~ right out of the box, NO adjusting.

The GOOD...
Being a TN it was very fast, (little to no ghosting) and great for text.
Out of the box, worked GREAT! No adjusting required.
VESA Mountable
All plugs easy accessible

The BAD ~ Lacking in color/contrast. Very light gray (notorious) smudge/dead pixel(s) that don't effect anything whatsoever but when you pay for something.. well, you understand.
Bright monitor, but not as sharp a picture as the BenQ - VERY noticeable difference.
The monitor stand is too basic but for the price...

The BenQ VA GW2750HM ~ right out of the box, NO adjusting.

The GOOD...
Color/Contrast is AMAZING and ghosting is minimal to none depending on game and 47, I cant really notice unless I'm looking for it, even then can't see much.
VESA Mountable
All plugs easy accessible

The BAD ~ text and even some games are somewhat 'blocky' and a little colored. I'm sure I have to make adjustments though in either the video card or the monitor.
The monitor stand is too basic but for the price...

So I chose the BenQ as it was a different animal than the TN AOC, much like my previous ASUS VE246H. I'll try and follow up once I've adjusted everything.

Have you had a chance to make the adjustments? I'm wanting to buy a 27" to upgrade from my current 24", but having trouble figuring out which monitor to buy. I've got a friend that went with a Planar which he likes, but I have yet to find overly favorable reviews on it. Also, what resolution are you running?
Thanks

Im running it the (the BenQ) at its native 1920x1080. To be clear on my 'complaints' on it, I'll call that just nit-picking to be honest. The small things I mentioned that are negatives are FAR from intolerable. Its nothing like looking at PC through an HDTV which IS intolerable. And the gaming colors/experience FAR outway the issues as well. Ive only worked on the monitors settings so far with only a little success. The brightness of the monitor is a blessing and a curse. Gorgeous to look at but BRIGHT to you have to turn it down a bit, to ones own liking. As I said, I haven't tinkered with either my graphics card settings or external software that could help but again, I may never bother. Its really not that bad as Im getting used to it. I came from a 24". Maybe that had something to do with it. =\
