Hi,
I tried unlocking the extra 2 cores and turning on the "unleashing" option in the BIOS (Mother board- ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3) of AMD phenom 2 xii 555 processor but after that the computer just doesn't start. After switching on the computer, the dvd drive shows the blinking light but the starting beep is not heard and the computer switches off in about 4 seconds. No screen display. How do I get display back and reset to my initial settings.

If you cannot get into your BIOS then the thing to do is shut off your power and unplug your computer.
then open the case and CAREFULLY remove the battery on the motherboard for a few seconds, Then reinstall
the battery, close the case, connect the power and start it up. This will bring you back to the default
BIOS settings.
Since you did two things, unlocking and unleashing, I would suggest just using the unlocking feature first.
If that works then try unleashing. If that causes the problem again then you cannot use the unleashing.
Remember that you are unlocking two cores that were turned off in the factory because they did not
meet their performance specs. It is quite possible that you just cannot use them at all and will have to
content yourself with using your CPU as the two core that you originally bought. A lot of CPUs can be unlocked
but when you try to increase their speed they fail and lock up. If you can unlock them and they work then I would
say to use them at their stock performance and be happy that you now have a 4 core working. Forget about
overclocking them.
