upgrading cpu in a gateway dx4380g-uw308

Hey guys, ive got a gateway dx4380g-uw308 desktop. I want to upgrade the cpu, the cpu currently in it is an amd a6-5400 fm2 socket 65w.
Currently looking to get the amd richland a8-6500 65w fm2 to replace it, but I haven't found anything so far to tell me if I can or if I can't
Please let me know if its compatible.

Do gateway make similar models with more powerful processors?
That might be the only clue you can find .

I would try one of the A10 or A8 quad cores

the richland APUs need FM2+, which you might not have. yuo should be able to easily swap in an A10-6700 though. (still 65W)

The richland a8-6500 said it was for fm2 socket. Thats what I was hoping for anyway.
