IDE to SATA ?

Does IDE to SATA Coverter works perfect? does it will reduce the speed? my new mother board only support sata no port for ide i have one old hdd and one old dvd drive so what about using ide to sata convertor or any other methods availble?

like i said what you just link are notorious fore being incredibly flakey and never working quite right so i would steer clear and honestly unless you needed that driver it will be almost as cheap to buy a new 500gb drive

I would recommend buying a modern hard drive for your system. If you don't really need that old drive for data recovery etc. Your old drive would propably be a huge bottleneck for your system performance, also CD/DVD-RW combo drives should be available for less than 20$/€.
