Hi,

I have three small questions regarding case fan cooling.

1) My case (fractal midi r2) already comes with three case fans. One 140 front top intake, 140 rear exaust, 140 rear top exaust. Now I wanted positive pressure in my case so I would need another fan. I was thinking about putting one in the front bottom slot intake, in front of the hhd cage which wouls only have my hhd and ssd drive in it. Now, would the hhd cage block the airflow from this added fan? Do I need a high static fan them?

2) how much more intake (cfm) do I need to have decent and working positive airflow?

3) Should I install the gpy closer to the cpu +hyper 212 evo, top pci e slot or the one closer to the psu?

Thank you

Solution
Try to have front/bottom intake and back/top exhaust. Try to keep exhaust and intake fans about equal

The HDD cage shouldn't be a problem I'd still put the fan there. Just a case fan should work you don't need high static pressure

I'd keep the GPU lower away from the CPU but it shouldn't really affect it either way

ah i see that now. two top fans one in one out, if they have some space between them that will work but it they are side by side i would make them either both exhaust or both intake
