How good is my build?

hey guys...i'm ordering parts for my first build
and i just wanted to get some opinions on my buid

specs:
ASUS M5a97 r2 mobo
amd fx 8320
cm hyper 212 evo cooler
8GB RAM
Seagate baracuda 500GB HDD
Sapphire r9 270x dual x OC 2GB
CM HAF 932 Blue atx mid tower case
Corsair 550w PSU

How good is this build....and will i be able to play games in the future on ultra at 720p resolution monitor?

I would spend a few more dollars and get the 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue. The R9-270X is just an overclocked R9-270, you can save some money and overclock it yourself. It should be able to do ultra at that resolution yes.
