Hi everybody,
I've got in my mind to upgrade the gpu and my idea (budget related) is to get an Asus R9 270X. My monitor (1600X900) has vga only and I'm wondering if it's worth the expense for using it with a dvi-vga adapter.
I'm not planning to replace the monitor and I'm looking for a gpu that can guarantee gaming on that resolution for a couple of years.

Thank you for your answers.

Yeah, its very good card and has a great preformance to price ratio. Also take a look at r7 270. The non x version is cheaper and uses the exact same Pitcairn pcb, the only difference being that the x version is Overclocked. As for longevity, a 200 dollar card can last you are while if you are willing to compromise so detail when you card starts to age (consoles have been doing it for a very long time).

My doubt is: will the vga adapter affect performances in any way? I don't want to waste money on a good gpu if this solution decreases too much graphic appearence.
