With Windows 8.1, League of Legends crashes like 70% of the time after champ select screen. I got sick and tired of it, so I decided to see if Windows 8 would fix the problem. I'd been meaning to install a SSD, so I did both at the same time - fresh windows 8 install, new SSD. Now League of Legends works great....
Ok so here's my dilemma: I saw the new features of the Windows 8.1 "Update" and I like the new features - power button easier to access, ability to X out of apps, etc...
Does anyone have experience with Windows 8.1 "update" and League of Legends? I currently have Windows 8.1 (old install) and Windows 8 (new install) in dual-boot setup, so I can probably tinker with it a bit. I eventually want to reformat my old drive for added storage on the new clean install.
I will be pretty frustrated if I install Windows 8.1 Update and continue to have issues with my game, at the same I want my cake and eat it too - Windows 8 is not the best for a desktop user.
All other games work great in windows 8 and 8.1.. My issues are exclusive to Win 8.1.
All drivers are updated - system specs follow (home build obviously):

1 WD 1TB Black
