I pieced together a cheaper computer for work a year ago. Sometimes when booting up, the screens will be black and require a few power cycles to work. The computer will randomly freeze for 30 seconds and then resume. While running it is smooth though, runs auto cad decently.

What could be some possible causes?
Is there some hardware incompatibility with the hardware that I'm not seeing?

I've linked all components in the computer below:

mother board - http://tinyurl.com/l5xzoem
graphics card - http://tinyurl.com/73922k3
CPU - http://tinyurl.com/ca9xonz
Hard Drive - http://tinyurl.com/4czw5y4
Ram - http://tinyurl.com/3g3uyub
Power Supply - http://tinyurl.com/35uw6lr
SSD - http://tinyurl.com/qyhlesn
DVD burner - http://tinyurl.com/yj5avvg (irrelevant but adding everything)
operating system is windows 7 pro, 64 bit.

Note that the black screen on start up has happened first thing in the morning so it's not an over heating problem. The SSD is the boot drive.

I'm leaning toward a bad mobo and thinking of replacing that first but would like some more opinions first.

thanks for the help.

It had these symptoms from the time it was made. I never did tweek the bios / mobo settings though. I suppose I could try that and perhaps I'll reformat... but the computer only has the bare essentials on it required for work so I'm very skeptical to that doing anything for it.

don't reformat unless you save everything first remember and just a check up whith all the drivers could be good don't use beta drivers tho
