I got a call from a user that I support that she couldn't see graphics in a Word document. They export the document from a 3rd party document application that exports to only PDF or ODT, so it is actually an Open Office ODT file, but works in Word fine other than the graphics.. The issue only seems to affect graphics in the body. The logo in the header loads fine.
Here's the kicker; her counterpart in Germany can see the document fine in Word.
My user exported this document from the 3rd party software and sent the ODT to her German colleague for review, and they found that he can in fact see the correct graphics. They are not large, just a couple small icons at the top of the document.
I remoted in to both machines, and their settings are identical, except the German user has some options that the US user doesn't.
Is this a difference in regional configurations in Word? Better yet, why would it affect graphics? I already tried the solutions in the MS document regarding Office 2010 graphics not showing up.
Both machines are HP Elitebook 8440p systems running Win7.

Other users in the US have the same problem, while other users in Germany have no problem.
