Which is better a i5 4570 or a amd equivilant in price and what would equivivlant b

I5 is better than the closest to equivalent AMD FX83xx at 4+GHz.

I apologize this is my first build and I do not know much but how would a 4 plus a gigahertz processor be worse than a three point one gigahertz processor

FX8350 is the closest thing AMD has and it runs at 4GHz, still in gaming I5 generally gets better score and here is a comparison to 4670K in other things http://anandtech.com/bench/product/697?vs=837
