Which is better ??

The extreme. Has all the features of the deluxe plus a couple more and a much better Crossfire/SLI setup. Only thing the Deluxe has is it comes with thunderbolt and the extreme needs an add in card for that same for the NFC express.

Both are premium boards. They can both overclock & SLI. Yet a main difference is that the Maximus can accomodate 4-way SLI/xfire & the deluxe only 3-way. Also, I use the Maximus & it's more geared toward gaming & crazy overclocking :D. If you want as many OC'ing options as possible & a serious gaming setup: GET THE MAXIMUS, you will NOT regret it! :) Also comes with a nifty wifi m.2 PCI AC adapter.
But a budget entry into these features is the ROG Hero.

It is a highspeed bus kinda like USB. The only things that use are basically external RAID boxes among a few other things does pass display port signal as well odds are you don't need it though..

Then the Hero is the perfect board and you save $150+ that can be used for other important stuff like better GPU.

then im not recommending overclocking (extra headache) and may wanna get couple SSD one for OS another for programs 3th regular HHD for gaming and storage so your need mobo at least 4 supporting slots for storage.

sli not very good for rendering video editing.just saying.

Taking that into account, most of us can agree the Hero is the board for you,
"6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), red
Support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10
Supports Intel® Smart Response Technology, Intel® Rapid Start Technology, Intel® Smart Connect Technology *3
ASMedia® ASM1061 controller : *4
2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), red"
With the money saved you can get a better GPU or grab an SSD or two as they're going on sales very frequently!

No it does not come with it, but If you get a ROG Phoebus soundcard you will get Sonic Radar. But when you weigh in that + the cost of the extreme board, you're spending more money just for a small feature- when it already comes built into the $200 Hero :)
