Wireless internet lagging and disconnecting

Hello, I have a pc with a wireless internet, and it keeps lagging and sometimes I have to disconnect it and connect it again.
I used to have a Netgear WNA3100 then I bought a new one which is the one I'm using now, it's a TP-link TL-WDN3200.
Could it be the router?

How far away from the router?
Does it do this if you are wired to the router?
Does it still do it if yo are closer?
What is in between?
What type of building is it?
Check interference from neighbors.
etc
etc
