I've not seen a clear pattern but I know it's happened at least 3 times on a Thursday evening.

speedtest.net results come back with
Ping: Between 600 and 2000
Download: As low as 0.5 to 0.20
Upload: About 0.4

All other times speeds are great, under 50 ping, 17 mbps download and about 1 upload.

I've tried the usual; turn off for a couple of minutes then turn back on, reset, changed filter, all that basic stuff.

Anyone got any ideas why this is happening?

Cheers!

You may be getting interference from an outside source. A large ballast or motor, or badly-shielded microwave could be causing some of your difficulty. You may also have an intermittent wired connection outside, possibly caused by the chewing of bushy-tailed rodents or insects.

Hi SFullen -
Sorry - I'm a few months late to the game on this one. But if you're still having the problem, can you tell me if this is on a wired or wireless connection? Who is your provider? Is this at your business or at home? DSL, Cable, T1, Fiber, etc?
